A Fanart of Sierra, the lovely vampire lady from the Suikoden/Suikogaiden games, done in water colors (size: A3)
It was horrible to scan this picture, the shadows in the mist disappeared almost entirely... am I the only one who has such problems when it comes to scanning pictures done with traditional media?
Nope. I think my scanner hates me or something, too. Whatever I scan in looks a hundred times worse than the original, not the the original was all that great, too, so the final product on deviantart looks like something a bird would have left on your car's windscreen if you're unlucky.
Plus, wait till you try to scan in penned stuff. All the lighter lines just...disappear. *facepalms and buries self*
oh, nice! the background suits her. ^_^ Maybe her legs look a tad too 'strong' though?
And: I know what you mean!! ;__; Before I started using photoshop, I used to colour with watercolour, too.. and my skin colours always turned yellow after scanning! >__<
Ohh, I like this!
I have the same problem also! I haven't tried watercolors yet, so when I do I'll probably be confronted with those irritating problems. Pencil crayon always looks crummy when I scan it, definitely makes me angry!
Anyways, this is a great picture! Very well done.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
